Created on the 4th and 5th floor of Building no.13, Koganei Campus, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TAT), Global Cafe provided an excellent atmosphere for both Japanese and International student studying in TAT. It was once a simple corner, often used by International Student when waiting for the next class or arranging short-time gathering after class. Some other times, several international students arranged an international lunch. International lunch? Well, it short of lunch attended by students from countries outside Japan.
I remember 4-5 years ago, all we could do here was chatting and reading some brochures. Surprisingly, I found the place is not only for “a simple meeting” but more likely a place where International Student could enjoy various activities as well as exchange them with other students. I found a lot of interesting books being places on a standing bookshelf, a sink (perhaps we can brush our teeth after lunch here^^), an air conditioner, several arranged chairs and tables, microwave to “ching” our lunches, and a Doutor’s coffee maker machine! What a cafe!
A view of Shinjuku Southern Terrace on Christmas 2009 and valentine 2014 winter getaway in Tokyo. I definitely love the lights, street music, foods, and discounts ^^
